Love, trauma, drugs, and family are all themes touched upon in Boluban’s new EP
After many months of tweaking and refining his sound in the shadows, Boluban comes out into the light with an EP “Love & Other Drugs” where he sings about love and its many siblings that leave us high in the clouds.
Boluban has not been in the spotlight much. You could argue that he’s not been in the spotlight at all. However, all that is about to change with this new batch of songs that aim to get the listeners thinking. “This EP has been in the works for a while and I am happy to finally release it. There are more songs to write, and more stories to tell. This is just the first of many,” he said before the release. “The songs on this EP are mostly calm songs inspired by R&B and pop music combined with your typical Afrobeat rhythm. Nothing too fast-paced,” he continued. It has received positive reviews from the few people who’ve listened to it. “I’m sure you guys will enjoy listening to this as much as I enjoyed making it.” He said during the release. “It is not the usual happy-go-lucky music that y’all are used to hearing. There is actual meaning in these words. And I hope listeners catch the messages in these songs.”
