Taking a look at Naomi Harris’s recent essence cover, we can’t help but marvel at the excellent styling of Ade Samuel. She pulled off five solid looks with a Moschino ensemble, Marson Margelia Gilet and Pants, Off- white c/o Virgil Aboh 3-piece and several accessories. 

Ade Samuel is one of the most prominent black Hollywood stylists and a designer. Earlier this year, she was recognized as one of the Top 25 powerful stylist of the year by Thehollywoodreporter. She is proudly Nigerian and draws her inspiration from cultural traditions, food and art of the country.

Having the flair for fashion from a very young age, Ade Samuel worked her way as a Teen Vogue fashion assistant in 2010. She volunteered to assist top tier stylists and moved from New York to LA to work on styling projects for Beyonce, Rihanna and many other celebrities.

Getting outfits to style with was difficult as designers were not open to loaning clothes to new talents. She collaborated with young & new designers like LaQuan Smith, Victoria Hayes … and it was the the start of something great.

One of the solutions to this is by factoring in new creatives to change the dialogue. It’s her dream to have many people collaborate with and respect stylists of all races.
