Nigerian Funk is excited to announce the release of their new project, Golden Lady, out on March 31st, 2022.
Golden Lady is a compilation of 7 producer remixes of songs by celebrated female musicians from Nigeria. These remixes range in musical style from Drill to Amapiano and everything in between.
This compilation is the brainchild of Nigerian Funk; an NGO focused on the preservation and documentation of Nigeria’s musical legacy. The focus on female artists for this project is an intentional choice made to place a focus on Nigeria’s trailblazing female musical talents on the final day of Women’s History Month.
The artists explored by the producers include contemporary and legacy artists like The Lijadu Sisters, Sade Adu, Tems, Tiwa Savage, Lady Donli, Nelly Uchendu and Lindsey Abudei.
The producers involved in the project include Sute iwar, TrillXoe, SirBastien, Johnson IP, Lobi, Fuji and DJ Lolu.
