BadBoyTimz Resurfaces with a New Single to Make You ‘Move’

After a break from consecutive hit singles, self-acclaimed BadBoyTimz returns to mainstream Afrobeats scene with a hot new release.

Nigerian singer and songwriter BadBoyTimz, known for his predominantly jubilant tunes has released a hot new single titled “Move”.

The singer who made his debut with an Afrobeat record “MJ” that celebrates the iconic Micheal Jackson moves caught the attention of the Nigerian music audience and has since then consistently kept his threshold with smooth and groovy records such as “Have Fun” and the remarkable feature on Olamide’s “Loading”.

BadBoyTimz, Born Olorunyomi Oloruntimilehin is one of the new school artists with vigor and gusto to create energetic tunes that give life to the Nigerian music scene. After his breakout in 2019, BadBoyTimz doled out his most streamed song yet, “Have Fun” which rocked parties and events towards the end of 2020. Having bagged the award for Rookie of the Year at the 2020 Headies Awards, BadBoyTimz was off to a promising career glide.

After a long break from “O shock won bakan”, the opening reminder that you’ll be surprised by the intense vibe his songs are saturated with, the “Young Fela” singer returns to the music scene with a Semzi Produced and Timijay Mixed and Mastered record, aimed at getting the listener up and moving to the amazing song.

With an upbeat instrumental saddled with an eclectic mix of Afro vibe, BadBoyTimz layers his witty lyrics in a manner that seems to jolt an adrenaline rush through the listener’s ears to ‘move from side to side,’ rhythmically to the beat, and by following his catchy voice.

BadBoyTimz – Move

Timz, as he is fondly called by colleagues and his peers, has a persona that incites vitality to his environment and this vibrancy is reflected in every one of his songs. His lyrics are often tapping into a communal air of jubilation, while simultaneously directing the listener to simply live and enjoy themselves. ‘I just want to have fun, I just want to spend money.’ ‘I no want wahala o, I dey find money na paper o’. These are some of the lyrics BadBoyTimz uses to express his lack of interest in stress and quest for comfort and fulfillment.

This new single marks his first official release under his new imprint, Shock Absorbers Music. “Move” is the first release of BadBoyTimz’s forthcoming album, likely to be released next year. For the young musician, this move promises to be positively impactful as he continues on his quest to greatness.
