Africa’s music scene is dynamic to say the least, and we’re here to walk you through it. So, this is a list of new music from around the continent that you should be listening to.
Somadina – “But I Should”
Following the release of her EP, she’s brought a breath of fresh air with her. Here, Somadina shares a painful serenade about a love that didn’t quite go as planned. It is the first track of her “Five Stages EP”, and a stage which she calls titles in-song as “denial”.
Famous Bobson – “4 Life”
A familiar face returns. Back on the scene after a recent absence, Bobson brings the vibes in a way only he knows how. Here, he continues his hi-life wave with backup assistance from Damayo. Definitely worth your listen.
Wunda B – “Claro”
Similarly, we have Wunda B on our list. A bouncy, mid-tempo track, it sits nicely for AYLØ and Mojo to work their magic on. This is one of our new faves and should definitely be played at your kickbacks.
DJ Neptune – “Nobody”
Joeboy’s vocals give this DJ Neptune song a lift, something characteristic of him as he’s risen to prominence over the past few months. Mr Eazi also comes clutch with his contribution. It’s going to make you dance, therefore you should add it to your library.
