This week, the team at RADR is listening to M.I’s The Guy, Fireboy, Bobby Blane, Livy Land, and Brum3h.
Looney- Bobby Blane
Bobby has come a long way from his Manya Cover that was released a couple of years ago and many other tracks on SoundCloud.
Looney is a mid-tempo Afropop song with a chill baseline that has Booby Blane declaring his intentions to his lover. It’s a proper depiction of Bobby Blane’s sound produced by Trill Xoe
Temperature – Livy Lane
This song is Livy Land’s breakout into the music industry. She sings about leaving a situation that isn’t ideal. She hopes someone listening to this song gathers the strength to leave any toxic situation.
Santorini Coffee- Melvitto
You might remember Melvitto from the hit track “Gentility”. Melvitto is a master of all trades; A singer-songwriter and producer. Santorini Coffee is from his 2019 EP “THENIGHTISYOUNG”. He sings about how he needs his lover ASAP, she’s sweet like sugar and the only thing he needs for his coffee.
Criminal by Brum3h
Criminal was performed by Brumeh Dennis Oghenekaro known as “Brum3h ” and Inçi. It’s a soft song produced by Brum3h and Randay. A fun fact is that this song was written on the spot with friends Randy and Bigshyrobot. My favourite thing about the song is the guitar loops.
Vibration – Fireboy
Everyone’s fav Damola has his Third studio album out in 2 weeks and it just makes sense to listen to all his other work in anticipation for Playboy. Vibration us from Fireboy’s Debut Studio Album- Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps. What I want to do though is watch talented dancers salsa to this song.
The Guy – M.I
The Guy is M.I recent release produced by chillz and is a lead-up to his forthcoming studio album with the same name set to be released in a few weeks. He lets us know on this song that he is exactly who he thinks he is. I love the creative shouts out to the other OG’s in the industry.
