I have been a fan of Ade Laoye’s work both on stage and screen for quite a long time so it was a no brainer to have her kick of the second season of my Youtube interview series Culture Diaries. Beyond the fact that there is something innately whimsical about Ade, and of course her glaring talent, she exudes a certain delicate honesty which always filters through in her performances making her quite hard to ignore.
Ade is very candid in this interview, we talk about colorism, financial realities and the power of storytelling.
