An Expanding Tapestry of Stillness, Sound, and Story at AMAH Studio
AMAH Studio is proud to announce the next installment of AMAH Conversations LIVE, a cultural gathering exploring the power of silence, poetics, and stillness in storytelling. Telling the Quiet Story brings together leading voices in African film, design, and image-making — Chuko and Arie Esiri (Eyimofe), Adeju Thompson (Lagos Space Programme), and Daniel Obasi, AMAH founder — for a panel discussion and film screening that challenges the speed and spectacle of the current cultural moment.
Date: Sunday, April 27, 2025
Venue: AMAH Studio
Time:
– Panel Talk: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
– Screening of Eyimofe: 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM
(Doors close at 5:00 PM)
This live session invites Lagos into a slower, more reflective creative rhythm, one that dares to linger, to feel, and to see deeply.

The Compound: A Homecoming for Culture
Over the Easter weekend, AMAH Studio’s, affectionately known as The Compound, transformed into a pulsating space of sound, memory, and community. The highlight of the evening was a listening party with Tay Iwar and Rigo Kamp’s show on good friday, where music met design and the familiar became transcendent. For many, it was a much-needed exhale; for AMAH, it marked a deeper becoming , a glimpse into the creative communion we’re building.
AMAH Conversations (The Debut Edition)
“A Way of Making” — Design as Memory, Activism, and Cultural Assertion
On Sunday, we launched our first edition of A Way of Making: AMAH Conversations LIVE — a new series dedicated to exploring intentionality in art, design, storytelling, archiving and honest conversations.
Our guests, Adeju Thompson (Lagos Space Programme) and Nifemi Marcus-Bello (NMB Design), shared generously about their practices and how design can serve as memory work, as a form of activism, and as an assertion of culture and identity. Together, they unfolded stories behind their methods, materials, and philosophies, holding space for nuance, history, and the radical act of choosing to create slowly.
The evening closed with a thoughtful, heartful Q&A that lingered in the minds of those present, a perfect end to a weekend shaped by presence, purpose, and the beauty of quiet insight.
