Team RADR is listening to some dope jams for you this week. Here’s what we’re listening to at RADR HQ:
Boy Spyce- Dreams
This song is the first song from Mavin’s newly signed artist in his eponymous project – Boy Spyce. Beginning with strings and a lot of soul, Boy Spyce tells us about a lover he had to part ways with because they had different dreams.
Five years later, they’re still apart but living their dreams. Boy Spyce makes music that uplifts, while she is a Doctor taking care of the sick. There’s a lot of nostalgia in the song and the melody gives a bitter-sweet feeling as he asks her in Yoruba to come home once in a while. It’s a story of the one that got away and Boy Spyce tells it with a lot of heart in his performance video.
Omah Lay – Woman
Coming off the high of his chart-topping song – Attention with Justin Bieber which was released 3 months ago, Omah Lay is not a stranger to these streets.
He tells us about his Woman, starting with a slow-paced tune that slowly turns into a jam that is sure to get heads bobbing over drinks.
With lots of cheeky rhymes and Nigerian pop culture references, he tells us how he only sees this woman and a little bit TMI on how good the sex is.
It’s another single off his album “Boy Alone” to be released in a couple of weeks

Loving you – Zinoleesky
Zino said “I can be boujee like Asa while being me” and he did just that.
In his sample of Asa’s ‘be my man’, we get a fusion of Amapiano and Afro beats.
This song, Produced by Niphkeys is sure to get feets moving and shoulders shimmying in the club. He tells us how his woman has his ‘mumu button’ in a manner of speaking, and how his friends approve of her while serenading her in classic Zino style. “Anything you want I go do am, It’s me and you against the world anyway, Even inside the rain”. We hear you Zino, Go off! Get your woman!
One time- Dadju, Rema
Rema teams up with Superstar French Singer/Songwriter, Dadju on this reggae/Afrobeats fusion track. Opening the track with a string of words we’re not sure of the meaning, Rema talks about wanting one more night of what seemed to be an amazing night with his lover.
Dajdu sings very sexily in French (of course I had to google the translation) about his woman shining brighter than diamonds and how he’d leave Paris for her.
Love is indeed universal and my friend Dajdu agrees. This song, produced by Nigerian International music producer, Kel P Vibe was off Dadju’s studio album called, Cullinan. Exciting times for Nigerian Music as we are seeing more multinational collaborations. Love it for us.
Yawa No Dey End (Remix) – Majeeed, Joeboy
If YOLO had an anthem, It’d be Yawa No Dey End.
This song chronicles the experience of the average Nigerian trying to figure their lives out with the never-ending problems, black tax and goals to be achieved.
Majeeed and Joeboy remind us that even in our hustle we should remember to wine and dine because truly the problems never end. Originally released as part of Majeeed’s debut extended playlist, Bitter Sweet in February, this remix brings a different spin on this track. Most outstanding is the end of the song which highlights the mastery of the track’s producer, Shugabeatz, letting us take in the instruments in this track.
With the bass and the drum taking the lead, almost telling us “dance and forget your troubles”.
