Amaarae Releases Futuristic Visuals To “Leave Me Alone”

Following the release of her new single “Leave Me Alone” via Platoon, Amaarae presents the accompanying visuals to the record.

It is also the first video off her highly anticipated EP,  The Angel You Don’t Know. The dystopian visuals are in clear parallel with the alte-RnB style Amaarae is famed for. With COVID-19 a determining factor in the animated directive, the video transitions from an avatar version of the songstress, tired of the monotony of the daily routine, to being abruptly transported to an hyper-modern alternative world.

Amaarae

Speaking on the creative thought process behind the visuals, Amaarae says, “We couldn’t go outside and shoot the video that I had envisioned but we still wanted to make this experience special. So special that we went and created a whole new world just for you.

“Welcome to Lilith – An enchanting city that rears it’s prickly horns once the clock strikes twelve and the angels who sang sweet songs at dawn are now on demon time. My only sin? I just wanted everyone to LEAVE ME ALONE and that’s when things took a turn for the worst. Just like me, you’re in for one hell of a trippy ride.”
