April Maey is an Alternative Nigerian musician from Belgium. She was born in Lagos Nigeria and currently lives in Gent Belgium with a master’s in New Media and Society at the VUB in Brussels, Belgium.
The singer/songwriter released her sophomore EP “Ticket To Anywhere” back in March this year.The title of the EP, “Ticket To Anywhere”, is inspired by Tracy Chapmans song “Fast Car”.
For her fans this Christmas, April Maey has released an acoustic version of her ep with a special new addition. The reimagination of the songs off Ticket To Anywhere in an acoustic light is both pleasing and interesting. April Maey is not afraid to present her art in different forms.
The lead single and new addition, Christmas Morning is a beautiful song that captures the heart of christmas. Wanting to share the holidays with loved ones, surrounded by the paraphernalia of the holidays. The song prioritizes the love that abounds during christmas as the artiste sings that she will make it to her loved ones side by christmas eve.
