Emerging Nigerian artiste Richaardbrown has released his second single of the year, titled ‘Jazz up’.
Gen Z era music is demanding that its presence be acknowledged and, Richaardbrown is one of the standout talents to look out for from the crop of new artistes.
Back in May, his first single of the year ’No lie’ was released and was on the receiving end of a stellar reception from fans. ’Jazz up’ is a follow up track to that earlier released single, showing off his versatility, growing potential and confidence.
Richaardbrown projects certain challenges faced by a thriving youth in a cold world, accompanied by vitalizing lyrics, ’Jazz up’ floats exasperating vibes on the groovy bop Amapiano beat.
RichaardBrown successfully converts the popular slang ”jazz up”, to a high spirited, catchy record produced by magic sticks. He tells listeners’ psyches to wake up and understand that the world only loves winners. “ Them go tell you things, them no go love you till you’re known.”
And that even then after winning, they only watch winners so they can witness their downfall.
”omo make you no gock, make you jazz up. They wanna see you hit the floor when you rise up.”
On this record, RichaardBrown explores the complexity of success and the effect that has on his relationships. He reflects on how it brings fear about haters who want to see him fail and he questions the love of those who love him with his fame.
All in all, the catchy tune is perfect for listeners to bust out sick zanku leg work while still contemplating the deeper, underlying issues in the lyrics.
