This release earns him his first international feature. Nigerian rap powerhouse Zilla Oaks is back with his first single of the year, “A Lot”, under Treemansion LLC. The highly anticipated track features South African rap star Shouldbeyuang, marking Zilla’s first solo international feature and his second international collaboration since working with UK rapper BackRoad Gee in 2023.

Produced by longtime collaborator The Shwofff, a Nigerian native based abroad, “A Lot” sees Zilla Oaks fully embracing his trap roots for the first time since 2023’s “More More”. Over the past year, Zilla has experimented with Afrobeats, swing, and Amapiano, blending them with his signature rap style. However, this time, he delivers a dark and cinematic trap anthem that embodies the dominance of the Nigerian trap scene, painting a fictional underworld of mob bosses, cartels, and street power struggles.
Zilla raps with undeniable authority, effortlessly gliding over The Shwofff’s eerie production, which fuses dark harps, haunting flutes, sinister synths, and a menacing drum kit. This track cements his status as a force in African hip-hop, blending raw lyricism with a cinematic storytelling approach.

Beyond his performance, “A Lot” also marks a milestone for Zilla, as he earns his first-ever mixing credit, further proving his hands-on approach to music creation. Additional credits on the track include Skid Adams and Defa OF for mastering, ensuring the record hits with maximum impact.
This release sets the stage for Zilla Oaks’ upcoming project, “NO ZZZZ 3”, the third installment in the fan-favorite “NO ZZZZ” series, rumored to drop later this year.
