This week the team at RADR is listening to songs that cut across generations. We’re doing Paul Play’s Angel of my life of the old souls and SDC’s Different case with Oxlade’ Ku Lo Sa for the Gen Z’s

Angel of my life – Paul play

90s kids fall out! Everyone millennial knows this song once the intro sets in. It’s a timeless song that has transcended through generations. It’s from Paul Play’s album Hitsville released in 2005. The video is giving everything an old-school video should give. 

Different case -Showdem camp

SDC said Money > Love and I vibe with them. In different case, they sing about being unsure of love and the difficulties of finding a lover. “Finding love in Lagos often seems like it’s thе hardest, either you’re thе hunter or you choose to be the target. So me I stay grinding and keep pushing on regardless”

We Move- Gina Jeanz ft. AliThatDude

The Namibian-born and South African-based DJ and producer Gina Jeanz released We Move as part of her debut album- Lucid Theory. The album speaks about healing passion and AliThatDude adds flavour to this song with his verse. They sing about getting their lover but not having the words to say it. 

Ku Lo Sa – Oxlade

I have had this song on repeat since I heard it. The Melody and singing are excellent. Oxlade pulled out the big guns on this one. The visuals are so clean; trust the COLORSxSTUDIOS to put on a good show. 

Themba Lami – Sha Sha, Ami Faku

This song is the perfect tune for warm milk baths, scented candles, rose petals, and some good lovin’.  I googled the meaning and she’s fighting for her lover; she wants them to work out their issues. “Listen, You are my treasure, I am your Betrothed I tell you, Talk to me”
