RADR Essentials Vol 3.: Davido, Wande Coal, Amaarae and more

Another week means another round up of some of the hottest music that dropped last week. This week we experienced a refreshing, yet nostalgic, new project from an established, but very missed fave, Wande Coal. This does not leave out songs dropped by our other favorites like Davido, Wande Coal Mr Eazi and Amaarae.

Realms- Wande Coal

This week, fan favorite, Wande Coal released his highly anticipated project, Realms. The seven track EP features his 2020 mega-hit song Again. It also features two singles he dropped in 2019. The ep comes with 4 new tracks, one of them, a remix to his hit single Again even features Nigerian-American rapper Wale. Check out Wande Coal on instagram here

Fem- Davido

After a short hiatus, chart topping artiste, Davido returns to the music scene with this banger. On this catchy tune with echoing harmonics and sharp snares, Davido is telling all his haters to keep quiet. “Why everybody come dey para for me?”

Oh My Gawd ft Nicki Minaj & K4MO- Mr. Eazi & Major Lazer

Mr Eazi, Major Lazer and Nicki Minaj are an interwoven fast paced mass of talent on this track. The combined talent of these artistes created this catchy dancehall tune that is true both to Mr Eazi’s Afrobeats roots but also to Nicki Minaj’s signature wordplay. Fancy- Amaarae

Ghanaian-American favorite dropped this hit song and accompanying visuals off her upcoming EP Angel You Don’t Know. Amaarae’s “bad bitch anthem” is a catchy, sexy song that will leave listeners feeling very fancy. See more of Amaarae’s music here

Jowo ft Oxlade & Joeboy- Jinmi Abduls

Three of the hottest rising Nigerian artistes collaborate on this track. Jimmi Abduls, Oxlade and Joeboy are a harmonious blend of voices and lyrics on this catchy love song, begging their love interests to treat their hearts kindly. See more of Jinmi Abdul’s music here

Gbolahan- Bella Alubo

Alternative r&b, hip hop rapper and songwriter, Bella Alubo drops this trippy sensual song, Gbolahan. The song combines soft, breathy vocals with clean production and an infectious beat to paint the hot girl photo Bella’s lyrics describe. See more of Bella Alubo on her insta here

Waistline- July 7

This track is heavily influenced by reggaeton and dancehall vibes which July 7 makes his own. The soft vocals, sexy lyrics and catchy tune will have listeners rolling their waists before they even know it. Find more July 7 here

Lagbaja- Ogranya

This is a beautiful soul/rnb love song. An interesting beat combines with sensual, honest lyrics and smooth vocals to create this soulful track.

Outta Town- Joyce Olong

Outta town is Joyce’s first single off her upcoming full length project, Silhouettes. This soulful track has beautiful, sonorous vocals as well as a wonderfully harmonised chorus. Song addresses otherness and being an outsider, all in all a great listen. Want more Joyce Olong? Find her here!

Crazy Lover – The Cavemen

In one of the standout tracks off their highlife masterpiece, “ROOTS”, The Cavemen combine soothing vocals with native percussion to produce a sweet serenade. Listen to the whole album here!

Like Me- SGaWD & Jess ETA

One of the main things that stands out on this track are the vocals. Jess’s strong, clear vocals are soft in contrast to SGaWD’s smooth timbre. This sensual song wraps around the listener with its catchy beat and excellent delivery. Get more SGaWD music here

Dollas and Cents- TOBi & Juls
