What Have We Done? EP- Omah Lay

The title of this EP is apt because truly, what have we done to unleash this musical talent that is Omah Lay. Though he released an EP eight months earlier, the artiste has grown and leaned into his sound, refining his production and honing his craft to release this stellar body of work. He explores the issues surrounding his rocketing fame and how that affects his relationships. He also explores his sound using afrofusion, reggae dancehall influences and solid vocals to scintillate listeners like ok the track Godly.

Hypnotized- Ayüü ft Marzi

Ayüü and Marzi create a beautiful picture in the mind of listeners with this upbeat track. It is a fast-paced love song with high life influences. The artistes sing about how their love interests have hypnotized them and listeners will be hypnotized by these groovy tunes, that is definite.



Rockstar Parole- Lady Donli

Lady Donli is back with two new singles. The alté singer and songwriter is heavily influenced by early 2000s Nigerian popular music. This gives her projects a nostalgic yet novel appeal. These two tracks are different in the ways in which they explore Donli’s sound but they’re catchy and enjoyable. Lady Donli channels two personas on the two tracks and really leans into them to create the musical experience.

Eazy Commando- Ashidapo 

The song starts off strong with confident lyrics and a strong beat. Heavy with street influences and even paying homage to a huge 2000s hit, this song will bring out the best dance moves in any listener.

Down Low- Laime 

Laime shows off his fast paced prowess on this record. He sings about the love his love interest gives him which can fill a jerrycan and how his tears will fill a jerrycan if she leaves him. 

Folake- Hotkid

The artiste sings about how his love interest wasn’t interested in him when he was struggling to make it. The indigenous lyrics on this song are at home with the fast-paced street music influenced beat making it a fun listen.

Yabasi- Basketmouth

Basketmouth, a famous Nigerian comedian, surprised everyone with his amazing album drop. Basketmouth created this stellar high life album in collaboration with other immense talents in the industry including The Cavemen, Showdemcamp, Waje, Peruzzi and more. A thoroughly enjoyable listen, if any listener enjoyed Roots by The Cavemen, they will definitely enjoy this album too.

Sade- L. A. X. 

A quintessential, raunchy afrobeats track, this song is catchy with sensual, fast paced lyrics and a groovy beat. The artiste sings about his love interest Sade, the things he wants them to do together and how she makes him want to lose his mind.
